Monthly Rate

Facility Charge: *(See Facility Charge Explanation)

All Energy Charge: $0.055 per kWh

Demand Charge: $13.40 per kW

Facility Charge Explanation

The Facility Charge is calculated by the following methods:

$55.00 per month for a twelve-month period, plus $2.30 per kW per month of the past year’s maximum demand. If the previous year’s maximum demand recorded was 50% or less of the rated horsepower of the installed motor, the minimum bill shall be $55.00 per month for a twelve (12) month period plus $2.30 per kW per month as calculated by the horsepower of the installed motor.

When no billing history is available, the minimum bill will consist of $55.00 per month for a twelve (12) month period plus $2.30 per kW per month as calculated by the horsepower of the installed motor. The formula to calculate the kW of a motor will be as follows: 0.746 (kW per HP) multiplied by Name Plate horsepower divided by 0.86 (motor efficiency).

Determination of Billing Demand

The billing demand shall be the maximum average kilowatt load used by the consumer for any period of fifteen consecutive minutes during the month for which the bill is rendered, as indicated or recorded by demand meter.

Minimum Charge

The minimum monthly charge shall be the Facility Charge, or such other minimum as may be established by contract.

Minimum bills are payable monthly until terminated by either party. Averaging of accounts to meet minimum bill requirements is disallowed.

Terms

The member will be responsible to have metering equipment installed as per design recommended by Cooperative and will be made available for inspection by Cooperative personnel.

Taxes

Any taxes, based on revenue from the sale of electric energy, which the cooperative is required to collect, will be itemized on the bills and are subject to the same terms of payment as are the energy charges.

Terms of Payment

The above rates are net. A late payment penalty of 1¾% per month will be added to any unpaid balance.
