Youth Tour

KEM Electric sponsors an all-expense paid trip to the National Rural Electric Youth Tour in Washington, DC in June. An essay composed by a teenager, judged to be the best from all entries, will be the teenager’s ticket to the tour.

Students must be a sophomore or junior in high school in the fall of 2012. Their parent or guardian must receive electrical power from KEM Electric.

Essay is not to exceed two standard 8 1/2 - by 11-inch typewritten double-spaced pages on this topic: What would your day be like without electricity?

Submit your essay in hard copy or electronic format to KEM Electric. Include a cover page with your name, date of birth, school and grade you will be in 2012, parents or guardian's name, address and telephone number.
